Crochet Classes Update

My head is always overflowing with ideas for new patterns, crochet classes, websites ideas.  This post is going to be about my ideas for new crochet classes.  For the past two years, I’ve been teaching every Wednesday night at the food court of Market Fair mall in Princeton, NJ.  Since last year, crochet classes have been also held at Bridgewater Commons every other Tuesday night.

I am very proud of my older babies (Market Fair raised), who are growing up and not needing my help as much, working on more advanced projects and just coming once in a while when they are stuck.  After some consideration and talking to some of you, I have decided to switch intermediate and advanced crochet classes at Market fair to every other Wednesday night (7-8.30pm).  Those classes will be “open project” style, where you bring a project of your choice and I help you along the way (choosing pattern, gauge, swatching, shaping, fixing mistakes, putting it all together, seaming, embellishing, whatever else you might need).

Do not worry beginners, I did not forget about you!  You will get a separate class that would also be held Wednesday nights, and that class would be held at earlier starting at 6pm (time is flexible, leave me a comment with your preference).  Those classes will be a combination of structured bits on learning new techniques and stitches at the beginning of the class and have elements of “open project” classes where I would help you with every aspect of completing project of your choice.

I will also start a series of classes on Saturday mornings and/or afternoons, probably 3 hours long.  Where every class will be independent of each other.  Some ideas that I have so far are: crochet crush course (everything you need to know to start crocheting), brush up (give you a confidence boost to crochet again), crochet flowers and appliques.
