In between a bazillion hats I have been making for craft shows and samples and prototypes for pattern I have 2 beans of hats in different sizes. I have been thinking about donating some of my hats for some good cause. I started looking into finding a local organization that collects and donates hats to kids with cancer. To my surprise I could not find any. It seams that most organizations collect hats for adult battling cancer.
So I started looking for local hospitals in NJ and PA that have pediatrics oncology units. I contacted Cancer Center at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia past Friday and received a reply Monday that they could use some hats for older kids! I am very excited to have an opportunity to use my hats for something good! They need bright cheerful hats.
